The present moment!

Shaikh Sahl ibn ‘Abd Allah (Allah have mercy on him) said,

‘The (present) moment (waqt) is the most precious thing; so, occupy it with the most precious things.’

The Ship of Taqwa...

"Indeed the world is a deep ocean,

wherein many people have drowned.

Make your ship thereupon 

taqwa- the fear of Allah .

Load it with Imaan

and it's sails is trust upon Allah.

(Do this) So that you may be saved,

because I do not see you being saved."

Time an I...

 ولي خط وللأيام خط   

و بينهما مخالفة المداد

فاكتبه سواد في بياض

و تكتبه بياض في سواد 

I have a pen and Time has a pen

The only difference between them is the ink

I write with black (ink) on white (paper)

and Time writes with white (ink) on black (hair)

Waste of life...

جو کهیلوں میں تو نے لڑکپن گنوایا

تو بد مستیوں میں جوانی گنوائ

جو اب غفلتوں میں بڑهاپا گنوایا

تو بس یہ سمجھ زندگانی گنوائ

"The childhood you wasted in toys.

The youth hood spent in mischief.

And now the old age lost in unawareness.

Just think you have lost your whole life!"

Knowledge is like a candle

that burns so bright.

It eliminates darkness

and guides towards the light.

Three friends

Knowledge, wealth and honour were friends.
One day the time of their separation had come. 
Knowledge said,"I can be found in places of learning."
Wealth said, "You can look for me in the palaces of the rich and the rulers."
Honour however kept quiet. Knowledge and Wealth wanted know why Honour remained silent. Honour heaved a sigh and said, "Once I part form someone there is no way to get me back."
